MercyMe - «All That Is Within Me»

Se há albuns imperdiveis este «All That Is Within Me» é certamente um deles, um trabalho estupendo dos Mercy Me já editado em 2007.

Pop vibrante, canções que ficam no ouvido e letras muito bem construídas. Aconselha-se a versão 'Collector's Edition', da qual mostramos aqui a capa, onde têm muitos extras e um DVD. Fica também aqui mais abaixo o video de apresentação do album, também com o primeiro single 'God With Us' e a respectiva letra.
Agora não podem depois dizer que não foram 'avisados'!! :-)

ICThUS

ICTUS, ICThUS ou IChThUS é a tradução no grego antigo para peixe. Esta palavra foi considerada pelos cristãos primitivos como um acrônimo da expressão "Iesus Christus Theou Yicus Soter", que quer dizer "Jesus Cristo, Filho de Deus, Salvador". Foi um dos primeiros símbolos cristãos usado como uma forma secreta de comunicação entre os cristãos do início da Igreja dentro das catacumbas romanas. Eles entalhavam este sinal nas paredes para que se identificassem com outros cristãos. Continua hoje em dia a ser usado por algumas denominações cristãs, especialmente as denominadas protestantes.

O comentário de Matthew Henry de toda a Bíblia é um dos mais concensuais e reconhecidos mundialmente como uma referência no âmbito dos comentários bíblicos. Tratando-se uma obra já com séculos de existência poder-se-ia pensar que estaria desactualizado, longe disso... a obra de Matthew Henry faz todo o sentido ainda nos dias de hoje, não sendo por acaso que se manteve como um dos principais apoios de muitos dos maiores pregadores mundiais ao longo de séculos.

Não sei se existe edição em português, provavelmente deverá existir pelo menos alguma edição brasileira, de qualquer modo para quem domina o inglês a opção aqui indicada pode ser uma excelente escolha de fácil acesso via online em várias lojas na internet, por exemplo: Amazon.com ou Christianbook.com, a preços muito interessantes.
