DecembeRadio - «Satisfied»

Os norte-americanos DecembeRadio acabaram de editar no final do passado mês de Agosto o seu mais recente album intitulado "Satisfied". A banda de Christiansburg, Virginia (USA), tem uma carreira ainda curta, com inicio em 2003, mas já recheada de sucesso, em 2006 receberam mesmo uma nomeação para os Grammy Award para a categoria "Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album".

O som praticado pelos DecembeRadio poderá ser rotulado nas áreas do Hard-Rock, um som povoado de guitarras eléctricas e ritmos fortes e rápidos, tem conduzido esta banda a ser considerada por muitos como uma das mais promissoras do meio Rock Cristão.

Petra - «Farewell»

A 4 de Outubro de 2005, a banda Petra grava um concerto em Franklin, Tennessee, juntando também os antigos membros John Lawry e o vocalista Greg X. Volz. O trabalho foi editado (CD e DVD) com o titulo «Farewell» ainda no mesmo ano, e pode ser descrito numa única palavra: Obrigatório!

Para quem gosta de Rock e do trabalho dos Petra este disco que marcou o fim da banda, é sem dúvida uma obra brilhante, quer pela colectânea de excelentes músicas que percorrem a longa carreira da banda, quer pelas excelentes interpretações, assim como pela pureza do som gravado ao vivo.

Festival Cornerstone 2008

O Festival Cornerstone, que tem lugar nos USA mais precisamente em Bushnell-Illinois (a 4-5 horas a sudoeste de Chicago), contou este ano com um leque impressionante de bandas de música cristã, entre as quais vários 'históricos', como por exemplo Ressurection Band, Degarmo & Key, Sixpence None The Richer, Glenn Kaiser Band e Glenn Kaiser & Friends. O Festival decorreu entre 30 Junho e 5 Julho, numa verdadeira maratona de música, no ano em que comemora o seu 25º aniversário.
